Alex Sibley All about Alex ... Favourite bands/artists I don't really have a favourite band or artist. If it sounds good then I like it. Quite like anything electro or music with fresh dirty beats and sounds. I first started getting into music when i heard Everybody In The Place and Outer Space by the Prodigy so I suppose Prodigy may be one of my favourite bands and I do buy anything that they have done but I do the same for Madonna. He last couple of albums have been a little electro though I am finding it hard to really get into her new one. Jamiroquai is up there with my favourites. That funky beat I love with lyrics and after I spent a day at his house watching him rehearse for his world tour, I found the only artist i think in the world, who sounds better live than when produced on CD. Favourite books Never really read many books which is why my vocabulary is so poor. Just started to read The Bible and The Holy Qur'an. Quite an interesting read - did you know that Jesus, Mary, The Archangel Gabriel and Adam and Eve get a mention in it. These two books are quiet complex, no wonder followers of both faith can easily so misinterpret the teaching in them resulting in the problems we face now and in the past. Favourite TV and films I love Monty Python, I have been watching them since I was about 5 when I was supposed to be watching cartoons, I have my Dad to blame for that. They show it quite a lot on the comedy channel and even though I have seen them all before, I still laugh when I see it. I am also a great fan of Star Trek and again I have seen them all before but Bravo and Virgin 1 love to show them and as I write this now I am watching Star Trek The Next Generation and watching Jordie getting tortured by the Romulans. Being a car nut Top Gear I love though I do not watch the reruns on Dave. By the way, The Stig is Jonny Herbert. Films really anything high budget Sci-Fi, Star Wars and the Alien films with Sigourney Weaver. One other thing I love I really like cars and dogs. One thing I really hate I really hate drugs. No I am not talking about coffee and valium. I love them. I am talking about cocaine, heroin, crack, ecstasy and pot. In my youth through modelling and TV work my usage was high on certain drugs, and watching my fiancee destroy herself on them, it made me detest all drugs making me very anti drugs. I have learnt since then that you can't stop anyone taking them if they have a problem. Only they can stop themselves. I tried to tell her close friends and family, but they all think I'm nuts. The fact she is now £18,000 in debt is not enough proof for them. So a lesson to be learned is don't take drugs. I was so happy to see that the young 13 year old 2012 Ambassadors I have had on the show are all anti drugs too and have good drug talks in their schools. My anti drug talk at School was from a man saying he took drugs and saw dragons, of course we all thought it was cool to see dragons. So drugs are my biggest hate, next to Peter Mandelson, Dom Joly and Robert Mugabe. |
